2 l y avait jadis sur l’île de Maurua, appelée aujourd’hui Maupiti, une belle jeune fille nommée Hinaraure’a. Comme chaque membre du clan, elle participait à la vie communautaire. Son travail consistait à préparer le monoï , huile parfumée au tiaré, et à veiller sur les ’ura , plumes rouges, précieuses et sacrées.
